The Connecticut Philharmonic
“Connecticut’s Orchestra” is a fully professional, not for profit 501(c)(3) organization. Founded in 2019 by Mr. Hisey and a group of local professionals and dedicated musicians.
The CTPhil will begin it’s inaugural season with performances of the Nutcracker in November with the Norwalk Metropolitan Youth Ballet.
The American Chamber Orchestra
The ACO was founded in 2003 by Mr. Hisey. This group of semi-professional musicians gives 4-5 concerts a year in various locations in Fairfield County. The ACO sponsors an annual concerto competition. The competition is open to students through high school. Three winners are selected each year, and the winners get to perform a movement form a concerto on the June concert.
The Greater Connecticut Youth Orchestras
Greater Connecticut Youth Orchestras’ (GCTYO) holistic approach to music education means we inspire and challenge students at every stage of their music development. The study and performance of great music in an ensemble setting can be a transformative experience for young musicians and the skills they learn as part of a GCTYO ensemble—teamwork, perseverance and responsibility—carry over into all areas of their lives.
Greens Farms Academy
GFA is a PreK-12 private day school, located on the water in Westport Connecticut. With a prestigious academic program, 64 interscholastic athletic teams and a world class Performing Arts Center, GFA attracts students from 23 towns in Fairfield and Westchester Counties. GFA is a school where everyone — students, faculty, staff, parents, alumni — is seen, and known, and valued.
